“He put a ring on it!”
After weeks of speculation, the worst kept secret in America is finally out! Kelly Rowland is indeed engaged to her manager Tim Witherspoon! And you won’t believe the non-traditional way Tim popped the big question!
The singer gave all the deets to friend Queen Latifah during Monday’s taping (airing Wednesday) of Queen’s new talk show. When Latifah asked Kelz if Tim proposed, a blushing Kelly showed off her new bling and responded, “He put a ring on it.”
And just how did Tim propose? Via Skype!
Kelly shared the cute story:
“It happened on Skype. It actually happened on Skype. He asked me first on Skype. And I was like, ‘We’re so far away from each other!’ I was in like Bulgaria or somewhere. It was so late. I remember we were both like, just staring at each other. And he asked me. And it was just that simple to say ‘yes.’ I was like, ‘I got my best friend. I have my best friend to ride through life with,’ and… he really is my best friend.’”
She also revealed that they had been dating for years and kept it “very, very low.”
Rumors of the couple dating first popped up in 2011, but Kelly insisted she was single and not dating anyone. However, she did admit to having a “special friend” in her life. And now that “special friend” will soon be her husband.
