Los Angeles - Victoria Beckham has been named Britain's most successful entrepreneur.

The 40-year-old singer-turned-fashion designer has topped a list of over 100 business people after seeing her fashion empire's turnover rise from £1m to a staggering £30m in just five years, with her staff growing from three employees to 100.

Zac Efron totally smitten with new girlfriend


Los Angeles - Zac Efron appeared "very much in love" with Sami Miró at the weekend.

The That Awkward Moment star turned 27 on Friday and to celebrate he and his rumoured new girlfriend took a trip to Amsterdam, where onlookers described them as hugging and laughing a lot together.
One source told E! News: "They were acting very much in love, she kept hugging him. Their love looked genuine."

Tori Spelling takes to Twitter to thank fans and says she's 'on the mend'


Los Angeles - Tori Spelling has revealed she is "on the mend" after being hospitalised.
The 41-year-old star was rushed to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Saturday after suffering a coughing fit and she has now taken to her Twitter account, perhaps via her husband Dean McDermott as she is said to be in quarantine, to thank her supporters and reveal he is helping her through the ordeal.

She wrote: "Thx 4 all of ur love & support while I'm in the hospital. Dean is w/me and will help me tweet while I'm on the mend. (sic)"
Upon her admittance to hospital, she was reportedly placed in quarantine amid fears she had contracted respiratory virus Enterovirus, which has been linked to seven deaths in the US after breaking out in 46 states.

San Francisco radio stations ban hit song Royals by Lorde


San Francisco - The popular song Royals by New Zealand artist Lorde is getting caught up in the fervor over baseball's upcoming World Series between the San Francisco Giants and Kansas City Royals.

Two San Francisco radio stations say they won't play the song during the duration of the World Series. A Kansas City, Missouri, station responded with plans to play the Grammy-winning track every hour from 07:00 to 19:00 on Tuesday, the first day of the series that decides the champion of Major League Baseball.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor arrested at Comic Con event


Idaho  — An actor best known for his role in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer is apologising for actions that led to his arrest in a hotel lobby in Idaho.
Nicholas Brendon, who played Xander Harris on the hit show that ran from 1997 to 2003, said on Monday on Facebook that he erred by mixing prescribed pain medication and alcohol.

"The result was embarrassing and unacceptable," he wrote. "I intend to seek appropriate treatment and therapy for my medical ailments as well as my emotional demons."

Porn production resumes after testing


Los Angeles - A California-based trade group for the adult film industry has lifted a moratorium on production spurred by a feared HIV exposure on an out-of-state film set.

The Free Speech Coalition ended the five-day production hold on Monday, saying in a statement that testing has been completed and "the performer pool has not been compromised."

Eddie Murphy lands lead role in Cook


Los Angeles - Eddie Murphy is to play the lead role in Cook.

The 53-year-old actor has been cast in the drama movie - based on a true story - as a chef who is hired by a dying man to make meals and care for his girlfriend and daughter after he has passed away.

The film is being directed by Bruce Beresford, while Susan McMartin penned the script and 300 producer Mark Canton is among the producers on the flick.
