Miley Cyrus says she's a 'walking joke'


Los Angeles  - Miley Cyrus has called herself a "walking joke".
The We Can't Stop songstress has referred to herself as "walking joke" after she admitted that if she wasn't a pop star she would like to be a comedian.

Talking on the Australian morning chat show, Sunrise on Sunday Miley said: "If I wasn't here I'd like to be doing some sort of stand up comedy, so I think that this is my way of doing that. I am the joke. Look at me! I'm a walking joke."

Los Angeles - Cameron Diaz would appear fully nude in a movie if it felt right. 

The 42-year-old actress is yet to completely strip off in a motion picture but admits she wouldn't have any problems baring all for a motion picture as long as it was in good taste and fitted in with the script. 

She said: "People have seen my butt. I've shown the top of my butt, the bottom of my butt. I'm not opposed to doing nudity, as long as it's part of the story. I'll do whatever has to get done if it's the right thing."

The Vampire Diaries season 6 does some shape-shifting


New York - The Vampire Diaries, known for its plot twists and supernatural lore, is doing some shape-shifting.

The sixth season of The CW series about vampires, witches, werewolves and the humans who love (or hate them) has a change in tone, with more focus on characters.
"What we tried to do ... is boil the mythology down to a basic idea," explained show runner Julie Plec in a recent interview. She said the suspense and mystery is still there, "but it's grounded in character development" and "very emotional".

Los Angeles - Shia LaBeouf had a "scary" time in jail after he was forced to wear a Hannibal mask and led jacket. 

The 28-year-old actor spent 24 hours in jail after being arrested for disorderly conduct in June, but the star insists his stint in custody felt like "forever" after he had a restraint mask, similar to the one worn by cannibal character Hannibal Lecter in crime thriller Hannibal, put on him.

The showbiz matriarch filed for divorce from the Olympian - the father of her two youngest children Kendall and Kylie Jenner - last month, a year after they separated, but they have remained friends as they want to set a ''good example'' to the rest of their family.

France's Patrick Modiano wins Nobel literature prize


Stockholm - Patrick Modiano of France, whose work focuses on the Nazi occupation and its effect on his country, was awarded the Nobel Prize in literature on Thursday.

The Swedish Academy gave the 8 million kronor ($1.1m) prize to Modiano "for the art of memory with which he has evoked the most ungraspable human destinies and uncovered the life-world of the occupation".

New York - Depeche Mode's new live album will feature an acoustic session recorded inside a Berlin brothel in footage shot by celebrated rock photographer and director Anton Corbijn.

The British synthpop giants said on Wednesday they will release a CD/DVD package entitled Live in Berlin, which features two hours of footage filmed in the German capital during their 32-nation tour.
